What else each platform asks for
- Amazon: Main image: pure white background (RGB 255), product fills at least 85% of the frame. At least 1,000px for zoom.
- Shopify: 2048x2048 recommended for square product images; up to 5000x5000 (25MP) and 20MB.
- Etsy: The first photo should be landscape or square, with a border around the product because Etsy crops it to different shapes. At least 2,000px recommended.
- eBay: At least 500px on the long side; 1,600px turns on zoom. No borders or text on the image.
- Google Shopping: At least 100px (clothing: 250px); 1,500px+ recommended. No logo, text or watermark on the image.
- Facebook / Instagram: Feed: 1080x1080. Stories/Reels: 1080x1920. Carousel ads: 1080x1080.
Shoot once, export many
Keep one large master photo of each product, at least as big as the largest recommendation above, and export a copy for each platform. Scaling down keeps the detail; scaling up never adds it.

Pixels versus file size
These are pixel sizes. File size is a separate thing: a 2,000-pixel photo can weigh 300 KB or 5 MB depending on how it is saved. Platforms compress what you upload, but a lighter file uploads faster and gives you more control; the free compressor handles it in bulk.
