AI sunglasses photography, on a face and without the reflections

Dark lenses mirror the photographer, the window and the whole room, and frames on their own do not sell. Upload a phone photo of the pair and get it on an AI model, with clean lenses, in the setting you choose.

Why sunglasses are so hard to photograph

Reflections. A lens is a curved mirror. Every light source, the photographer and the room behind them end up in it. Professionals fight this with polarizing filters, tilted angles and indirect light, and it still takes time per frame.

Frames need a face. What a buyer really checks is the width of the frame against the width of a face, how high it sits on the nose and how dark the lens looks when worn. A pair lying on a table cannot show that, and a collection of thirty frames would need several models with different face shapes to show it properly.

How AI sunglasses photography works

Upload a photo of the sunglasses and choose how to show them: a clean studio shot of the pair, or the frame worn by an AI model, in a studio, on a seaside promenade, at a cafe or in the street. The result shows clean lenses rather than a copy of your room, and you can try the same frame on several models with different faces to show how it fits different customers.

Each standard-quality image costs 5 credits, and the free plan includes 5 standard images a month. See pricing for larger catalogs.

Shooting the pair before you upload

  • Open, with both arms spread. Stand the glasses on a table or a stand, temples open, so the full shape is visible.
  • Diffused light, away from the window. The cleaner the lenses are in your photo, the more accurate the result. Do not shoot facing a window or a bright lamp.
  • Front and side. The front shows the lenses and the frame shape; the side shows the thickness of the frame and the temple. Both matter to buyers.
  • Make the material obvious. Thick acetate, thin metal, wood or bamboo: make sure the finish reads clearly, and wipe smudges off the lenses.

Showing each frame on the right face

The same sunglasses look completely different on a round face and on a long one. Show your bestsellers on more than one model so shoppers find someone who looks like them, and match the model to the style: a sporty wrap on an active look, oversized frames on a fashion editorial, a classic aviator in a street scene. You can browse the models on the AI fashion models page.

What to check in the result

  • The frame shape and the bridge match the real pair, including the width between the lenses.
  • The lens tint is the same color as yours. Gradient and colored lenses are worth a close look.
  • Mirrored lenses will reflect the scene around the model, as they would in real life. That is expected; check that the mirror color is right.
  • Small logos on the temples come out best when they are sharp in a side photo you uploaded.

Questions

How does AI handle reflections in the lenses?

The result shows clean lenses without the photographer or the room reflected in them. Dark lenses come out with an even finish, and clear lenses can show the eyes behind them. The cleaner the lenses are in your source photo, the more accurate the result.

Can I show the same frame on different faces?

Yes. Generate the same pair on several AI models with different face shapes and looks, so each customer can see how the frame works on a face like theirs.

Does it work for prescription glasses too?

The same approach works for optical frames: upload a photo of the frame and show it on a model. Check the clear lenses closely, since they show the eyes and any reflection more than dark lenses do.

How much does AI sunglasses photography cost?

A standard-quality image costs 5 credits. The free plan includes 5 standard images a month, with no credit card.

Can I use the photos in ads and on Instagram?

Yes. The images are cleared for commercial use in your store, on marketplaces, in ads and on social media. The models are not real people, so there are no model releases to manage.
